Program Needs for Hospice and Cottage in the Meadow
Fund a part-time hostess, stock the family kitchen with food and teas. Cost for one year $25,000.
Catering supplies, tea cart, hot water dispenser and toaster oven for family kitchen, hot water dispenser for staff break room. Cost $10,000.
The half-time hospice chaplain is flooded with patients and families to meet with. Besides hospice patients-- those at home and at the Cottage, he currently serves North Star Lodge and Children's Village families coping with grief and loss issues. We also dream of the day when we can hold weekly services for those confined at the Cottage. Cost for one year $35,000.
Reclining sleeper chair for patients and visitors in each patient room. Cost $1,500 each; $18,000 for all 12 rooms.
Increase capacity of the in-room oxygen delivery system. Larger 02 storage tanks will eliminate the need for frequent tank changes, ensuring uninterrupted oxygen for each patient. Cost $30,000
To maximize use of hospice and Cottage in the Meadow, a dedicated community education budget to cover a planning and distribution campaign which will reach to every corner of our community to explain what hospice is and how it can benefit both patient and family. This will include delivering CME-eligible education programs to our medical community. Staffing, design, print, and presentation cost for one year $65,000.
